Cooking workshops & demos

What is a cooking workshop?

In our cooking workshops, we work on a specific theme with a small group, based on the principles of the “more choice plate”. Choosing more nutritious food, step by step, helps to support your body on your way to the most healthy, energetic version of yourself. A cooking workshop is a fun, hands-on way to tackle the “health issue” and immediately put your newfound knowledge into practice at home.

Cooking workshop: participants & duration
  • Live: +/- 12 people per accompanying coach, depending on the space available
  • Online: 20 people per accompanying coach (on Zoom or Teams)
  • Duration: 60 to 90 minutes
What is a cooking demo?

During a cooking demo, a Springbok foodie cooks a delicious meal or snack, giving plenty of explanations about the ingredients. Cooking is based on the principles of the “more choice plate”, which means choosing more nutritious ingredients, more often. A cooking demo offers the opportunity to give larger groups an interactive cooking experience. A few volunteers will be asked to carry out small tasks. In this format, there is more space for theoretical support than there is in cooking workshops.

Cooking demo: participants & duration
  • Live: unlimited, depending on the space available
  • Online: unlimited
  • Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

Healthy aperitif snack and mocktail

We all enjoy snacking with friends from time to time. If you want a healthy version, then classic oven snacks are not much help. As a group, we will prepare a non-alcoholic drink and an alternative snack, with attention to nutritious ingredients.

Healthy breakfast

Learn what constitutes a healthy breakfast and how to use nutritious ingredients to keep you feeling full for a long time. These recipes make enough for a few days, so you don’t have to prepare breakfast every day.

Healthy snacks (for on the go)

If you are often on the road or have a long wait between lunch and dinner, you may find yourself needing a snack. Cakes and biscuits are not the most nutritious choice! Learn to make tasty alternatives in this workshop.

Healthy lunch/dinner

It’s best to design a healthy lunch or dinner based on the “more choice plate”. Find out in this workshop how to turn those principles into a real meal. We use real ingredients to make a simple, tasty meal that you can tuck into with your family afterwards.

Vegetarian balls and burgers

We are all aware that we need to eat vegetarian food more often, both for our own health and for the planet. But the alternatives in stores are not always that healthy. In this workshop, you will learn to make your own meat substitutes to put enough protein on your vegetarian plate. We also focus on what to look for when you buy vegetarian burgers or balls from the supermarket.

Meal prepping

It is often a challenge to eat fresh food every day. With some simple tips and tricks, you can quickly cook enough to last several days. That’s what we call meal prepping. It means you have nutritious meals in the fridge throughout your busy working week.

Springbok Coaching appealed to us because they really sensed the dynamics of the workplace and came up with a realistic policy. We now have a health policy that is accessible, even for people who don’t enjoy sports.
